Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.
We've just received a gift of a car tyre pump to replace our old bicycle pump. The difference is like night and day as you can imagine. The bike pump is a foot pump which requires a lot of huffing and puffing. The motorised pump requires no effort at all, you plug it in and the little motor does it all!😊
I was thinking about that and how our lives are similar. When we do things in our own strength, with our own wisdom, it requires a lot of effort, a lot of huffing and puffing! But when we ask the Holy Spirit for His help in everything it's like we're receiving His power, energy and wisdom pumped into our Spirit.
The secret is to acknowledge God in all our ways, to include Him in every little or big thing. I once heard a man say he only asked God about the big stuff and he thought it silly to ask God about the small things. I thought how sad and how he was missing out!
God is living on the inside of us and He wants to be involved in all areas of our lives. I had the lens fall out of my spectacles the other day because the screw had come loose and when it's happened before it's been really hard to fix it as the screw wont stay in! I've learned though to ask the Lord for His help even with the small things, which I did, and He helped me mend it so I can see!😊
Is God interested in those things? Absolutely, because He says if it concerns us then it concerns Him too because He loves us. Psalm 138:8 The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.....
So as we begin another week can I encourage you to let the Holy Spirit be the power pump in your life. No matter what you have to do, whatever it is that concerns you or you're involved in, turn to the Lord all the time and under your breath just acknowledge and thank Him He's there with you and ask Him to help you. It doesn't matter how small or how big - God is interested and He wants in on it. Will you let Him?
Have a blessed week, acknowledging and including God in all you do.😊
