BLESSINGS OF PROTECTION

Psalm 5:11-12 

But let all who take refuge in you rejoice;

 let them sing joyful praises forever. 

Spread your protection over them, 

that all who love your name may be filled with joy. 

For you bless the godly, O Lord, you surround them with your shield of love.

The weeks go by so fast and Sunday is here again but we have a place of refuge and it should make us want to rejoice.😊 We're not exposed or vulnerable when we  believe and declare we have the Most High God as our refuge. Sometimes it's good to remind not only ourselves of that but the enemy too when we feel threatened in any way.

Every day, no matter what day it is, the Lord is spreading His protective wings over each one of us. Psalm 91 says He will cover us with His feathers, He will shelter us with His wings and He's ordering His angels to protect us wherever we go. I wonder why we feel anxious when we know all that is true! I think we just need to keep reminding ourselves throughout the day.😊

Not only do we have angelic protection but our verse says God blesses us by surrounding us with His own shield of love, or as another translation puts it His shield of favour. When we stop and think about it all we definitely have a lot to rejoice about today and be filled with joy! 

Can you imagine what life would be like if all those blessings were not there? But we can give a shout of joy, because they are! Hallelujah!😊 

Thank You Lord for spreading Your powerful protection over us every day. Amen.
