1 Thessalonians 5:18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
Yesterday we had a load of snow fall and the temperatures have been below freezing so we're all shivering and in thick jumpers. I sent a photo to family in Australia and they're having temperatures of 30+ degrees! Although I don't normally enjoy it
that hot, just at this minute I think I'd love it! Whatever we have we seem to think we'd like what someone else has!
It's a bit like the grass is always greener on the other side, isn't it?
But God says to be thankful for whatever we have and find contentment in it. Philippians 4:11 Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. Now that is a challenge sometimes and I'm still working on it! If we can keep a right attitude about things and keep them in perspective God is pleased. No one likes to hear lots of moans and complaints and God doesn't either.
If we allow the enemy to keep whispering discontentment in our ears we begin to get grumpy, but if we'll keep praise and thanksgiving coming out our mouths and in our ears we'll be much happier.😊 I know it's not always easy and requires a decision on our part but we know it's God’s will for us who belong to Jesus.
We also know moans and complaints draw the negatives to us but the good news is our faith draws God's blessings to us so let's choose to be thankful today and let the blessings flow.
