The most important restoration we all need is found in Romans 5:10 For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. It's past tense, all done. We can relax knowing we've already been restored to God and all our other restoration comes out of that. Thank You Lord.
But maybe life has been hard on you in some way so we turn to God’s promise in 1 Peter 5:10 …So after you have suffered for a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation…. That's a promise along with all the others that we take by faith. He will restore, not maybe or hope so! Restoration is already on it's way.
If our finances have taken a turn for the worse let’s go to Jeremiah 30:3 For the time is coming when I will restore the fortunes of my people… When Job lost everything the Lord restored double to him in the end. Thank You Lord.
What about our health, could it do with restoring? Sometimes healing is an ongoing process so don't be discouraged when you don't see an improvement immediately. Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord. I've learned the worse thing I can do is say it's not working! We take it by faith, thank You Lord my health is being restored even if I can't see it yet.
I expect we could all do with more strength to deal with life so let’s go to Isaiah 58:11 The Lord will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring. I have that on my mirror and claim it all the time.😊
What about our souls which includes our mind, will and emotions? Psalm 23:3 He restores my soul. Life can be upsetting but I'm so glad we can go to the Lord and ask for our emotions to be restored, aren't you?
Whatever it is we find we need restoring God has it covered. Our part is to grab hold of His promises by faith and believe He will do as He has said. Yes it may take some time but scripture reminds us that not one of God’s good promises has failed.
Thank You Lord we can come to Your Restoration Workshop, Your throne of grace, any time and ask You to restore us. Amen.
