PIT STOP!

Psalm 40:2-3 NLT He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing….

If you’ve ever watched motor racing on TV you will have seen the pit stops where the cars are all brought in for new tyres to enable them to pull away at full throttle in order to win their race.

There are times when our lives feel as though we’re in a pit stop as well, and whether it’s a quick turn around or not, one thing is for sure, God doesn’t leave us in the pit. He brings us out and puts us back on firm ground, He steadies us up and puts new tyres on us, ready to go again.😊

There are some pits we have dug for ourselves through lack of wisdom or insight, and there are pits that life seems to tip us into which are not our fault. But whatever kind of pit we find ourselves in God always wants us to know He is the God of hope, the God who still has a plan for our lives because His hand of blessing is on our heads.

When Joseph found himself in a pit his life was hanging in the balance, but he had hope in the hole!
God provided a group of tribesmen who ‘happened’ to come by at the ‘exact’ moment Joseph needed rescuing! God has not changed, He is doing it for you, and He has already orchestrated your rescue, so keep looking up and know God is the God who always brings us out.😊

If we’ll stay in an attitude of faith, who is to say we won’t end up in a palace! It certainly didn’t look that way for Joseph when he was sold into slavery by his own brothers, but that was what happened, it was God’s plan, Joseph’s destiny.

So take courage from Joseph’s true story and know that God has your story, your future, all mapped out and it’s not to harm you, but Jesus said He came to give you an abundant overflowing life. And know the following verse is for you.

Psalm 103:4 NIV who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Get ready for God to redeem, crown, satisfy and renew you.😊

Thank You Lord, we believe it and receive it by faith. In Jesus name. Amen.
