WE STILL BELONG TO HIM

Psalm 73:23-25

Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny.
Whom have I in heaven but you?
I desire you more than anything on earth.

No matter what happened this past week or what will happen in the coming week nothing can change the fact that we still belong to God. We thought about being anchored a few days ago and belonging to God is one of the truths that we’re anchored to, and the fact that He is holding our right hand. When someone is holding your hand it gives a picture of caring, of being there for the other person, of deep affection and love. Have we allowed the Lord to hold our hand this week through the ups and downs? I do hope so because that’s what He wants us to do.😊

Another part of our anchor is the fact that the Lord Himself is giving us His counsel. We don’t have to go and pay for someone else to do it, or flounder around on our own, and we can be sure that the counsel He gives us will not only be spot on but available to us day or night.

Then he reminds us that God is leading us somewhere - to a glorious destiny and we maybe forget that fact in the middle of all the stuff that happens from day to day. I love the thought of it, don’t you? A glorious destiny. Wow! Not just a destiny but a glorious one! Now that is something to look forward to don’t you think?

Above everything else we’re anchored to the truth that we actually have the God in heaven on our side, who is for us and not against us. If we had nothing and no one else He would be more than enough.

He holds our past, our present and our future in the palm of His loving hand and He’s watching over each and every one of us, holding on to us. How wonderful that is and I hope these reminders help us desire Him more and more and put a smile on all our faces. 😊Thank You Lord.
