John 10:10 (nlt) The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
Sometimes we can get confused about things if we don’t have enough information, but Jesus made it very clear when He told people it’s the devil who is doing the stealing, killing and destroying in their lives - not God! In fact Jesus said He Himself came because God wants us to have an abundant, overflowing life.😊 In other words it’s not the will of God that we lose or that we let our enemy steal everything we’ve got!
I expect at some point we’ve all felt sorry for ourselves about something when we know the enemy has stolen from us. Maybe he’s trying to kill and destroy our health or our finances or our relationships. Well Jesus told us it’s not God doing it, so it’s time to get back up, put our armour on, and stop him! Notice David had to do it. He didn’t ask God to do it for him.😊 So how do we stop him?
We put our armour on, we stand on the promises of God and don’t compromise when circumstances and experiences try to shout us down. God tells us to resist the devil (James 4:7) and tell him to take his hands off our lives, off our relationships, our health, whatever is under attack. We enforce God’s unchangeable, incorruptible Word on our enemy like Jesus did when He said “It is written…”.
We use the name and the blood of Jesus to pull down the enemy strongholds. We keep the Word of God in our mouths, we have the angels of heaven’s armies at our side, the power of the Holy Ghost inside us and His authority to use it.
Let’s stand up and be counted, to declare the victory of the cross, and stop the enemy from stealing from us and take our God given authority to resist the devil and tell him to flee in Jesus name. ✝️Amen.
