I’ve been drying bright red geranium petals and although they look pretty in my bowl I can’t think of any other use for them so will probably end up throwing them away after a while.
As I was thinking about our throw away society I was just so thankful the Lord doesn’t throw us away or abandon us, even when we get dry! He still loves us and has a purpose for our lives.
Isaiah 58:11 NLT The Lord will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.
Psalm 139 reminds us that even from when we were in our mother’s womb God knew us and had a plan written in His book for all our days.
He says we can still be green and useful no matter how old we are and if we’re still young, then we have even longer to bear fruit in His kingdom.😊
Even if the enemy comes and says we’re not much use, or we’re not that talented or whatever sad lie he brings to us, we can know we don’t have to be brilliant at anything, just available for God to use us and He’ll do the rest.
The secret is to look outside of ourselves and ask the Holy Spirit how we can fit in with His plan today and just be so thankful He’ll never throw us away no matter what, because He loves us.
