BOUGHT AND PAID FOR

Romans 8:1-2 NKJV There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

I had one of those days the other day when I felt like I didn’t do too well, and maybe you have those too, or perhaps you felt like you blew it, or let someone down. So what do we do when that happens, because it can make us feel miserable and seems to throw us open to the enemy’s attacks?

Revelation 12:10 tells us that the devil is the accuser of the brethren - that’s you and me if we love Jesus. We feel condemned for something we’ve said or done, or failed to do, but that’s when we need to remember we can thank God our forgiveness has already been bought and paid for by Jesus.

We have to make sure our breastplate of righteousness is firmly in place because God says He has made us the righteousness of God in Christ and He’s no longer condemning us. Praise God our righteousness doesn’t come and go but God has given it to us as a gift.

If we really love God we won’t keep on sinning deliberately because our heart is to honour Jesus and please our Heavenly Father, but when we do sin we can say sorry and know we have Jesus pleading His shed blood on our behalf which has dealt with it all - past, present and future.

Hebrews 10:19 And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. v.21And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, v.23 let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

So if you’ve been feeling like you’ve let the Lord down in some way, just come to the throne of grace today. Thank our merciful God for the blood of Jesus which has cleansed us of all our unrighteousness and declares us not guilty, and hear Him say you are precious in His sight, you are forgiven, and loved with an everlasting love. The amazing grace of God. Thank You Lord. Amen. 😊
