1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your cares upon Him for He cares for you.
We've been waiting since July to have all our house roof hip tiles repaired but there's been big delays waiting for roofing quotes, builders messing us about, and the scaffolders to arrive. It's actually happening now though and the roofers are here and it will be all secured before the storms of winter. Thank You Lord!
We all know we have to wait for some things to come together and the waiting can be very frustrating at the best of times, or even tinged with the fear of the 'what if's', like when you know there is a risk of tiles flying off and really hurting someone!
Now the things you're waiting for will have different connotations but God wants us all to come to that place of, not just praying about our problem, but giving it over to Him and leaving it there. Sometimes we need the wisdom to recognise there will be things we can't change by ourselves and trust Him to oversee it all, then rest in Him to sort it.
There's no point in worrying about what we can't do anything about. Worrying wont change the circumstance or hurry anything along, in fact it tends to draw the negative to us, upsets us and opens a door to the enemy!
At the end of the day we all know God cares about us and He cares for us and He wants us to trust Him by not fretting. We couldn't do anything about our roof ourselves so I eventually came to that point of believing God would make it happen when it needed to and trust Him to hold the tiles on until it does! Trusting is better than worrying!😊
