A BLESSED HOPE

Titus 2:13 (Kjv) looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

In one of the houses I grew up in there was a picture made of solid wood hanging in the hall by the grandfather clock, so you saw it every day when you came downstairs. It had the above verse inscribed on it which someone had painstakingly hot pokered into the wood. Although it was very old fashioned, probably early 1900s, nevertheless the message on it became embedded in my mind purely because I read it so often!

It didn't matter that the wooden picture itself was a bit beaten up and old because it's message got through to me and challenges me to this day to remember there is going to be a glorious and wonderful day when Jesus really will appear and everything that troubles us now will thankfully not trouble us anymore. This life is not all there is.😊

So this is just a little reminder that we do all still have a blessed hope which the Holy Spirit encourages us to look forward to. It's the sure and certain knowledge that our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ will soon be coming back for those who are trusting in Him. What a glorious experience that will be!

It's not surprising that what we see and read everyday sinks in, (whether it's good or bad) so how about we print off, or write out a scripture that matters to us and pin it up where everyone can see and read it. It's amazing how it's message will stick with them, and you, for longer than you think!😊
