He says He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west. The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him for He knows how weak we are.....(v.11-12) David is building us a lovely picture of our heavenly Father which makes us want to run to Him and not from Him when we get it wrong which is so reassuring.
He goes further and says, The love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear Him and His salvation extends to the children's children of those who are faithful to His covenant and obey his commands.(v.17) There are conditions to that promise but for any of us who have children and grandchildren we can bring them to the Lord and remind Him of His promise for them to be saved too.
Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word.(v.20). This is a wonderful verse because it tells us that the angels will act on God's word when they hear it. So when they hear God's word coming out of our mouths in faith, they are strong and mighty to go and perform it in our lives. For instance, when we declare the promises of God they are commissioned to go and make it so. What a wonderful benefit that is!
Thank You Lord we can come to You any time as our loving Father God and for ministering angels commissioned to help us. We praise You for it Lord. Amen.
