WISE WORDS

Proverbs 14:3 NLT A fool’s proud talk becomes a rod that beats him, but the words of the wise keep them safe.

Wise words keep us safe! So I asked myself what are wise words? As I thought about it I realised any words we speak which agree with what God has said about us, or our situations, are always wise words.

It’s because God’s words carry supernatural power and will never return to Him empty. When we speak them in faith we’re releasing His power that’s stored up inside them, into our circumstances, our health, our finances, our relationships.

For instance, from Psalm 91, when we declare by faith that ‘the Lord is our God, our refuge’, He becomes our place of safety. As we declare, ‘He rescues us and protects us from every trap and from every deadly disease’, those are more wise words that will also keep us safe if we believe them. When we declare, ‘God alone is our refuge, the Most High our shelter’, He says no evil will conquer us, no plague come near our home. We declare ‘His angels are protecting us wherever we go and they’re holding us up with their hands’ - those are all wise words.😊

We don’t have to make up our own wise words, God gives us His!😊 And when the enemy tries to make us speak fear filled words, we can refuse to do it and agree with God instead and speak what He says.

If you’d like some suggestions, here are some more words from scripture which will help, “I am God’s masterpiece, His treasure is inside me, I have Christ’s wisdom in me so I can do all things through Christ who is strengthening me. I am blessed going out and coming in, I am covered by God’s wings so I will not fear because God is for me and His hand of protection is on me….”
