IT’S NEVER WASTED!

1 Corinthians 15:58 AMP Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].

Have you ever heard yourself saying, “Well that was a waste of time!”? It can be frustrating when we’ve spent time and effort on something, only to find it didn’t work out the way we planned. It’s like when I tried a new recipe recently, but it ended up looking like a mush and tasted yucky! It felt like a waste of time, but I did try!🤣

But I have good news because this scripture says that nothing we do for the Lord is ever wasted, which is so encouraging and it ties in with this next verse. Colossians 3:23 NLT Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

“Whatever you do” covers everything doesn’t it? Even the things we might not be very good at.😊

The thing is, when we’ve been doing our daily jobs at home or work, or serving in church, we may become weary in our doing or our serving, and can sometimes feel disheartened when we don’t see results when we’d like to. 

But Apostle Paul reminds us not to grow weary because in due season we will reap a harvest if we do them as though we’re doing them for the Lord Himself.

It changes our perspective when we change our attitude, and someone has said, “Our attitude, not our aptitude will determine our altitude.”

So whatever we do, be encouraged, we can ask the Lord to help us have the right attitude and do it as though we’re doing it for Him, knowing it’s never wasted but it’s accomplishing something in the unseen realms we may not even realise.😊 In Jesus name. Amen.
