Psalm 136:1 NKJV Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
The thing is, we have to obey His instructions along the way. We need to just do what He says and don’t question His wisdom or tell Him why we can’t do it His way!
Like the manna the children of Israel collected each morning, He wants us to come to His throne room to collect our ‘manna’, our fresh supply of mercy for forgiveness if we’ve had a bad attitude, an ungrateful heart for all His blessings, and to receive His wonderful grace to help us overcome and deal with whatever we have to do today.
We all have different challenges, different giants, different mountains that loom up but Jesus said, “Cheer up, I have overcome the world for you.” Sometimes we have to take that by faith because it may not feel like it! We can’t fight the battles on our own, but we know our God is fighting them for us. Like the King who sent out the praising choir in front of his army, we need to trust God and start singing our praises for all His goodness, His faithfulness, His wisdom, His help and His victory before we even see it.
As we begin our new week, let’s start with a thankful heart for all God has already done for us, knowing His ways are not our ways, but His heart is always for us and never against us. Whether things go the way we want them to or not, let’s bring down our enemy by praising our God that His mercy endures forever and declare His goodness to us, and know His love will never fail us. In Jesus name. Amen.😊
