THE NOW OF FAITH

Romans 4: 20-21 NIV Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

We all love Abraham because he showed us how to live the faith life. We read how he lived by faith, and left home by faith not knowing where he was going. He believed God for a son and at 100 years old He had one, and his faith was counted as righteousness in God’s sight. God blessed him richly with family and great wealth because of his faith.

Fast forward centuries and God reveals Jesus and the entrance of His grace and mercy to anyone who will receive it by faith. Once again we see how graciously our God deals with us when our faith is totally in Jesus and all He has done for us. Jesus shows us His Father is a God of great mercy and loving kindness, He shows His goodness and long-suffering patience to deal with us, and His forgiveness which we receive by faith.

Hebrews 11:1 says Now faith is… I love the fact that faith is in our now, not off in the future somewhere, which means everything we need is available in our now as well. God’s forgiveness, His protection, His provision, His unlimited love and favour, are all available now.

So let’s stir up our faith today, in our now, and experience the goodness and kindness of our God, where His face is shining down on us, where He sings over us with songs of victory, where all things are possible, where we don’t receive because of anything we’ve done, but because of all Jesus has done for us - just because of His grace and give God all the glory.😊 In Jesus name. Amen.

Hebrews 11:1 NIV Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
