MEET TOGETHER

Hebrews 10:24-25 NLT Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

For those of you who read about the arrival of our Triceratops dinosaur on 4th August, I just thought I’d keep you updated on his latest activity, just to make you chuckle.😊 He decided he needed some company, so he invited friends for a bit of fellowship. 

Seriously though, God tells us to have fellowship with other believers, to gather together to worship because there is a corporate anointing when we’re together, to support each other in prayer, or help practically if we can.

Colossians 2:2 NLT says God designed us to be ‘encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love…’ We all benefit from meeting together if we can, because God knows we each have a spiritual gift which God wants us to share for the benefit of others, otherwise why did He give it to us?

(1 Corinthians 12:7)😊

When an army goes into battle it doesn’t send out a lone soldier, it sends in a battalion because they all work together, watch each other’s backs and bring down their enemy as they each do what they’re trained to do. Ecclesiastes 4:12 NIV Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

In the same way, God wants us to be connected in church because we’re easy prey for the enemy when we’re alone but when we know we have others praying for us and with us, then we stand strong.

So why not be like our dinosaur and make the effort to get together with fellow believers this weekend, if you’re able, and be a blessing to others.😊Amen.
