CALLED BY NAME

Isaiah 43:1 NLT 

…“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.

I have called you by name; you are mine.

V.10… “You are my servant.

You have been chosen to know me, believe in me,

and understand that I alone am God.

There is no other God—

there never has been, and there never will be.

13 “From eternity to eternity I am God.

No one can snatch anyone out of my hand.

No one can undo what I have done.

What a way to begin - “Don’t be afraid!” God has claimed ownership over each one of us who are trusting in Jesus and His shed blood. Can you hear Him speaking to you today? He’s saying. “You’re mine!” Just stop and think about it for a minute and realise afresh how wonderful that is!😊

If you’ve ever been in a room full of people, you’ll know how good it is when you finally hear your name called to be attended to! It happened to us a couple of days ago and we were the last to be called after waiting four hours, but we were called, that was what was important! 

Well even better than that, is to know God has called your name, you’ve been chosen to know Him and believe in Him. What an enormous privilege when He gives us the understanding that there is no other God, especially when we didn’t deserve it.😊

He goes even further though because He goes on to say nobody can snatch us out of His hand. He has a strong hold on each one of us, no matter how low or how deep the hole is, or how weak we may have felt, He still has us safely held in His compassionate and loving hands and He lifts His loved ones up.

Doesn’t that fill you with joy today? His word reassures us of His great love for us, how secure we are in Him, and how we have eternity to eternity to bless and praise His wonderful name.😊

Father, how we thank You for Jesus who has made it all possible. In His wonderful name. Amen.
