OUR BLESSED HOPE

Revelation 1:5-6 NKJV 

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, 

the firstborn from the dead, 

and the ruler over the kings of the earth.

To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins 

in His own blood, 

6 and has made us kings and priests to 

His God and Father, 

to Him be glory and dominion 

forever and ever. Amen.

What a wonderful Saviour we have, when we realise how much we owe to Jesus for washing us from our sins. But to then go on to say He has already made us kings and priests to His God and Father, is mind boggling. That’s you and me! He has given us so much, how can we not give Him all the glory forever? Lord help us renew our minds to receive that truth today.

John went on to say in v.18 He is the One who holds the keys to death and the grave. Jesus conquered the grave and He has given us a blessed hope because He is really coming back for those of us who belong to Him and this is what Paul says:

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 NKJV For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

What a hope, what a promise! It’s huge and I like to think of Jesus as The Uptaker.😊 

Titus 2:13 NKJV looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

We have a blessed hope, we have something to rejoice about every day. Jesus is coming back and we’ll be with Him forever! Are we looking? God is calling to us again today and He wants us to be ready and looking for Jesus to come. Amen.😊
