A BUBBLY PSALM

Psalm 100 NLT 

1 Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!

2 Worship the Lord with gladness.

Come before him, singing with joy.

3 Acknowledge that the Lord is God!

He made us, and we are his.

We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving;

go into his courts with praise.

Give thanks to him and praise his name.

5 For the Lord is good.

His unfailing love continues forever,

and his faithfulness continues to each generation.

What a bubbly psalm this is!😊 He says Shout, Worship, Come, Sing, Acknowledge, Enter, Give thanks, Praise, and to do all of it with joy. The psalmist expects us to be participators in this event, not spectators! Why? Because we’re the sheep of His pasture. We belong to God, we have something to shout about, to sing about.

Have we anything to be thankful for today? I should say so! Ours sins have been forgiven, we’ve been redeemed from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of light. We’ve been made righteous with God’s own righteousness which is awesome! We’ve been adopted into God’s family and He has made us joint heirs with Jesus. He’s preparing a place made especially for us in Heaven, and our list could go on and on and on! Feel free to carry on.😊

So let’s come to our wonderful God today with glad hearts, sing Him a joyful song and take our eyes off ourselves and our concerns, and put them on Him. Let’s thank and praise Him, and tell Him how good He is to us and remember His unfailing love for us is forever, not just when we perform right.

I love how he finished it off when he says God’s faithfulness will pass to our generations after us. Our God is faithful not just to us but to those who are following on. I’m so grateful I’m one of the sheep of His pasture, aren’t you?😊
