ROLLED AWAY!

Mark 16:4 But as they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled aside.

I love reading about the stone being rolled away from the tomb and you may feel you need some stones rolling away in your life. They may be stones of indifference, or hopelessness, stones that are blocking your health or finances, or your thinking or progress in some way, and you’re waiting for God to come to your rescue.

Matthew 28:2 tells us of a great earthquake when the angel rolled the stone away. Can you imagine the release of explosive supernatural power God exerted when He raised Jesus back to life? Only God could do that and no wonder there was an earthquake! Did Jesus sit in the dark behind the closed stone of the tomb waiting for the angel to roll the stone away or did He just instantly walk through the wall? Either way He knew it could only happen at the appointed time of Sunday morning and we can be encouraged because God has an appointed time for our rescue too, and we can be sure it’s not going to be too late or too early. God is always on time.

Or maybe you have some ashes in your life that need some resurrection life breathing into them. Well God says He gives us beauty for our ashes, that He gives us back our joy, and that word is for someone today! (Isaiah 61:3) 

Be encouraged because God has already done the greatest miracle of all when He raised Jesus back to life so we can know anything we ask God to do for us now is small in comparison.

He invites us to confidently come to His throne of grace and ask Him to breathe new life into us or our situations, to know He is already rolling away the stones that seem too heavy for us to move, to give us beauty for our ashes and great joy. He assures us nothing is too hard or too impossible for Him and let’s remember He has even placed the same Spirit in us that raised Christ from the dead! What a thought that is!😊
