Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Our God is an ‘out of the box’ God and He wants us to be willing to get out of our box and think like He does! In fact He has given us the mind of Christ and the Holy Spirit so we can do it. There’s more than one way to do things but are we willing to think He may have new ways or avenues for us to pursue?
Our upbringing, culture, our traditions, our previous experience or lack of funds, a host of different things, can all tend to box us in or tell us we can’t do it or we don’t qualify, but God’s word tells us something quite different.😊
God says He has qualified us to be sons and daughters of the King of Kings because of Jesus and there is no higher privilege or qualification.😊 He has said we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us; not some things, or only those things we were trained to do, but all things. God often calls us to do things beyond our own capabilities so we have to rely on Christ for it all.
He wants us to think healing where there’s sickness, prosperity where there’s lack, forgiveness where there’s offence, love where there’s prejudice, blessing our enemies when we want to do the opposite!
It’s time to come out of our boxes of ‘can’t do it’, ‘it’ll never happen to me’, and come up higher to believe for what God has planned for us, for something far better than we ever imagined. Believe for signs and wonders and miracles, days of fulfilment and joy in His kingdom. Yes, we are in this world, but we are not of it, we belong to the One who owns it all and all things are possible with Him. Praise God.
