ENJOY BEING YOU

Revelation 4:11Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. 

I’m one of those people who don’t do mud and really don’t enjoy muddy walks, ending up covered in a muddy mess! Now my granddaughter is the opposite, who doesn’t care two hoots how muddy she gets! We’re all so different and that’s good. How boring we would be if we were all the same!

I love the fact God has made us as individuals for His good pleasure. I think He enjoys the fact that we all have so many facets to our characters, just like He does, because we’re made in His image and His likeness. He’s made us so there are no two of us the same, just like snowflakes. 

So next time you meet someone who’s very different to you just say “Hello snowflake.”🤣

And if someone thinks you’re a bit strange don’t worry about it because they’re maybe a bit strange too, but none of us is strange to God, we’re just different! You’re just you, and nobody can be a better you than you! It’s no good when we try to be like someone else. God doesn’t need another one like them, He needs one just like you, so rejoice and celebrate your uniqueness, your ‘youness’.😊

It also helps when we look at others to remember, whether they’re flamboyant or quiet natured, that’s how God made them and we can ask the Lord to help us learn to appreciate them just the way they are, rather than judging them, and hope they’ll treat us the same way. 

Some people have had such a hard past and if we had worn their shoes we might be in an even worse state than they are, so let’s show each other lots of grace and allow one another to be changed by the Lord where He knows we need it, when He knows we need it. He’s making you and me into the best you and me we can be.😊

Philippians 2:13 (NKJV) For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

In the meantime, just remember, whether you like mud or not, God made you for His good pleasure and God never makes mistakes. You’re one of His masterpieces, and as a lovely friend said to me this week “Just be you” and it blessed me so much, so I pass it on “Just be you.”😊 In Jesus name. Amen.
