Acts 23:11 That night the Lord appeared to Paul and said, "Be encouraged, Paul. Just as you have been a witness to me here in Jerusalem, you must preach the Good News in Rome as well."
This chapter is so encouraging because we read about God's plan for Paul and although we then discover some men had other plans for him which were dramatically different because they wanted to kill him, it's not hard to guess whose plan won through in the end. God's!
Forty men had conspired together to kill Paul on his way to be interrogated, but God made sure their evil plan was discovered by his nephew (who conveniently happened to overhear the plot!) and Paul escaped. Paul's nephew was at the right place at the right time to be part of God's rescue plan.
In this instance God used a member of Paul's family but also an ungodly commander and multiple soldiers. In other words, whatever it takes, we can trust God to provide or use whatever is necessary to sort our situations. So if rescue or help comes from an unlikely source don't refuse it thinking it can't be from God.
Don't forget God might use you to be part of someone else's rescue plan by being at the right place at the right time too!
Be encouraged, because whatever God's plan is for our lives, if we keep our eyes on Him, He will make sure nothing will stop it. He will have someone working for Him who will be able to help us and no matter what the enemy has had planned God will have the final say and He will have His way.
