Luke 19:40 He replied, "If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!"
I was reading about a museum in Mansfield, Ohio where a local factory manufactured all kinds of electrical equipment and one of the items they made in the 1950’s was called a Singing Dryer which sang the tune "How Dry I Am"! Can you imagine putting your tumble dryer on and having it sing to you? It made me smile.😊
When I read about this dryer singing, it reminded me of the day Jesus was walking in His triumphal procession on Palm Sunday and the Pharisees complained about all the singing and praising going on. What a miserable bunch they were! Jesus told them even the stones would start singing and praising if the people stopped!
If a clothes dryer can sing, if stones can burst into cheers, how much more can we burst into praise too! We have so much to praise and thank God for, to thank Jesus for all He has done and given to us. How wonderful to have the Spirit of the living God living inside us! Do we forget sometimes?
When the affairs of life press in on us and we get a bit grumpy or sad, do we maybe forget how we're totally forgiven because Jesus took the punishment for all our sin, guilt and shame, how righteous we are because He's given us His very own righteousness and how we have a home in heaven to look forward to? How Jesus has also redeemed us from the curse of the law so we can be blessed now. (Galations 3:13-14) I hope they put a song in our hearts because without them we really would have something to feel sad about and nothing to look forward to.😊
So this is just a gentle reminder from a Singing Dryer, throughout our day, let's start singing "How blessed I am!" or "How forgiven I am", or "I praise you Lord", and put a smile on God's face today.😊

Maybe you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour yet and you'd like to, then may I invite you to say out loud this prayer. "Lord Jesus, I ask You to forgive me for all my sins, I believe You died on the cross for me and that God raised You from the dead. I make you my Lord and Saviour. In Jesus' name. Amen."
If you prayed that prayer from your heart I'd like to welcome you into God's family. Please tell someone about it as soon as you can. I'd love to hear from you too. God loves you.😊
