Luke 18:27 But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
Last night a very elderly lady in church was sharing how she’d had a fresh insight into Jesus being our Good Shepherd and how He’s looking after us. She recounted how she went to the Remembrance Day event in the park with hundreds of people earlier in the day but when she came back she realised she’d lost one of her new hearing aids and was most upset. She’d only had it 10 days!
Then she heard a small voice saying “Go and find it!” It was less than 1” long and she thought the chances of finding it were almost impossible but she obeyed, put all her outdoor clothes back on and went back out into the cold. She said to her very frail husband, “I need a miracle!” to which he replied “You certainly do!” She hadn’t walked 70 yards along the pavement when she saw it! No one had trampled on it, despite the crowds, and all was well. She had indeed had a miracle!😊
Her Good Shepherd was showing her how He was involved in all the things that concerned her and was helping her believe Him for the impossible, to believe for miracles when she needed them.
Do you need a miracle in some way today? Have your circumstances made you think it’s impossible? Well be encouraged by this elderly lady and trust your Good Shepherd, the Lord Jesus. He is the same yesterday, today and forever and what He does for one He will do for you. He is still the God of miracles.
Job 5:9 He does great things too marvellous to understand. He performs countless miracles.
As we begin a new week, let your hopes rise up again, don’t give in to discouraging thoughts, obey His still small voice when He tells you what to do, and believe God for the miracles you need in your every day. He is still our Way Maker, Miracle Worker, and our Promise Keeper. Thank You Lord.
Have a blessed week.x
