The Lord knew we would face times when we feel so worn down by our circumstances, whether it's through ongoing illness or some other situation in our lives. That's why He constantly reminds us to encourage ourselves in the Lord. As long as we have the Lord in our lives there is always hope of better days up ahead no matter how it looks or feels right now. So keep looking to Jesus and don't let the enemy distract you or tell you to give up.
God says the things we can see are temporary but the unseen things are eternal. Now what can you 'see' right now in your life? because no matter what it is, no matter how depressing and hopeless it seems, God says it's only temporary.
I know some people who are reading this are really suffering but I trust that gives you some hope today. Your difficult circumstances have an expiry date and God will strengthen each one of us until that date arrives.
May I encourage you with my testimony. Back in 2007 I was seriously ill and the prognosis was not good. Each day I grew weaker and sicker and had no strength, but even though things looked worse and worse every day I learned to say "I am getting stronger, by Jesus' wounds I am healed, Jesus' healing is pouring into my body." I would take a physical step, then I was able to walk the length of the room, then I reached the pavement and so on. I learned to not look at what I felt or saw but to stand solely on God's promise of healing and declare it.
It took a while but I am still here 15 years later, by the grace of God, all glory to Him. Thank You Lord.
So even if things look really bad right now, don't despair, we have a Deliverer, our circumstances are temporary, and He will deliver us in due course. Keep believing and keep trusting. Keep receiving and declaring Jesus' healing by faith even when you can’t see it because it's real and it belongs to you.
