HE CARRIES US IN HIS ARMS

Psalm 68:19 Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms.

Isn't it lovely to know our God is bigger than all our circumstances and always worthy of all our praise. We're probably not aware of it, but our verse reminds us, that God is carrying us in His arms every single day and there's no better place to be.

It makes me think of Jesus our good Shepherd holding one of His sheep close to His chest as He carries it home when it's been lost or hurt or sick. It's a picture of such love and protection, of caring for us especially when we're struggling in some area, of being supported and looked after. Jesus told us He would never abandon us, forsake us or leave us alone or without support. It would be unthinkable for Him to do that, so no wonder we can praise the Lord with our whole heart.

We're praising the One who not only carries us in His arms but who gave His precious Son to take our place at the cross, who forgives all our sins and mistakes, who loves us with an everlasting love and draws us into His family and calls us His own child.

How amazing that all is and how good to remember it and praise and thank Him afresh today.

Psalm 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
