OUR GLORIOUS GOD

Deuteronomy 32:3-4
I will proclaim the name of the Lord; how glorious is our God!
He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect.
Everything he does is just and fair.
He is a faithful God who does no wrong;
how just and upright he is!

Moses had written a song to remind the Israelites how wonderful their God was and to warn them what would happen if they abandoned Him for false gods. He wrote it just before the Lord took him up on the mountain to die because he wasn't allowed to enter the promised land due to his betraying the Lord at Meribah Waters. (Deuteronomy 32:51-52) Despite what must have been a huge disappointment he says "Everything He does is just and fair.

The bible tells us Moses was the meekest man on earth at that time even though God had used him to perform all the miraculous signs and wonders in Egypt. Part of the meaning of meekness is to be fully and entirely dependent on God which is how Moses could do those amazing things. Deut 34:10 There has never been another prophet in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face.

Moses goes on...Deut.33:26-27 There is no one like the God of Israel. He rides across the heavens to help you, across the skies in majestic splendor. The eternal God is your refuge, and his everlasting arms are under you. He drives out the enemy before you; he cries out, 'Destroy them!'

Our God never changes and just as He rode across the heavens in majestic splendour to help them then, He will ride across the heavens to help us now! I think that is wonderful, don’t you? The even more wonderful truth is He doesn't even need to because He's already living inside us now!

He is still our refuge and His everlasting arms are still under each one of us whether day or night and He's still driving out our enemy before us. In fact He has already destroyed him because we're this side of the Cross where Jesus defeated him for us.

We have a wonderful, glorious God and we can follow Moses example of being fully and entirely dependent on God as we give Him all the praise and glory on this Palm Sunday. Hallelujah!😊
