BEING GOD’S MASTERPIECE

Ephesians 2:10 NLT For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

I do enjoy my Advent envelopes and yesterday’s card was “You are God’s masterpiece” so I thought I’d share it with you.😊

There are many voices and things in life that can knock us down or cause us to lose our confidence. Some of them are because of our own mistakes, but other times it’s the deliberate, or unthinking words or attitudes of others that can make us feel ‘less than’. Have you ever felt inadequate with the new technology that changes from day to day? You just get your head around one thing and then they change it and you need one of your grandkids to help you out!😊

But in the big scheme of things those things are not so important. What is important is what God thinks about us, how He sees us, and His word says He sees us as holy and righteous in His sight because we’re in Jesus, as anointed and equipped to do everything He calls us to do.

1 Corinthians 1:27 NIV But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called and I’m so grateful for that.😊

So next time you feel like you can’t cope, or don’t have the right skills, or not up-to-date enough, just remember you are a child of the Most High God, chosen and called to be in His family, loved beyond measure, highly favoured and greatly blessed.

His grace will be more than enough for us to do whatever we have to do today and He says we are actually ‘Can Do’ people because we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. His power lives on the inside of us because His Holy Spirit lives in us.

So let’s go out each day with His ability and confidence, not our own, walking into victory, with the thought that we are going somewhere to succeed and be a blessing. In Jesus name. Amen.
