THE GATE IS OPEN

John 10:9 NLT Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.

I wonder what you think when you come across a gate in your walks? Does it make you want to go through and into what lies beyond, or do you see it as a barrier, a turning round point, and not explore further?

God wants us all to live like someone left the gate open, because it is, and we’re free to come and go! God is not the one holding us back, we do that to ourselves for all sorts of reasons! Too old, too young, not enough money, too shy…..

Jesus is the gate for us to go through and into all He has prepared from before the foundation of the world, for each one of us to discover and enjoy. How amazing that is! The invitation is to every person on the planet but it does require an RSVP. We have to accept God’s invitation to move forward through whatever gate He has opened for us today and not let fear hold us back.

In the same way God wants us to open up the gates of our hearts to Him to allow the King of Glory to come in (Psalm 24:7). It’s also to allow the Holy Spirit to counsel and direct us as to what He’s asking us to be doing. God can give us the instruction, the open gate, but it’s up to us to follow His leading and trust Him for the ability to do it.😊

So just in case you feel like you’ve been going round the same old mountain over and over again, let’s do what God says we can do in the power of the Holy Spirit and let Him surprise us and bless us and go through His open gate into the good plans He has for us. In Jesus’ name.😊 Amen.
