Proverbs 18:21 NIV The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
I wonder if you ever stop and listen to what you’re saying? It’s at those unguarded moments when things have ganged up on us, it pays to listen to what is coming out of our mouths because it’s what is in our hearts and we may not have realised it.Whatever we’ve been saying is actually setting our course, but even if you’ve been having a moan, why not turn it round and start speaking some positive confessions instead? We can produce some good fruit with our words.😊
How about saying how great your God is, or how no weapon formed against you will prosper, or declare ‘this problem didn’t come to stay - it came to pass’. How about: ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’, or ‘I am an Overcomer through Jesus’.
If we do that, then God will show up and make things happen on our behalf because He says He’s active and alert to perform His word which we’ve just spoken over our lives. We can’t make things happen but God can, and when we release our faith we’re releasing Him so He can do what He’s promised.😊
If things are needing changing in your life, can I encourage you to speak out God’s words over those areas and resist the enemy, tell him to take his hands off your life, off your circumstances. Remember God’s word says, ‘We’re above only and not beneath, that we are the head and not the tail.’
So next time you feel beneath, or things are not going the way they should, start declaring what God says - you are a blood bought child of God, filled with His Holy Spirit, anointed, and empowered by the Greater One living on the inside. You’re on the Victory side going somewhere to triumph and God is turning things round for your good, no matter what it looks like.😊 In Jesus name. Amen.
Have a blessed weekend.x
