THE GLORY OF OUR GOD

Psalm 19:2-4 NLT 

The heavens proclaim the glory of God.

The skies display his craftsmanship.

2 Day after day they continue to speak;

night after night they make him known.

3 They speak without a sound or word;

their voice is never heard.

4 Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,

and their words to all the world…

Whether we’re in the northern or the southern hemisphere the stars draw us upwards and stretch our minds to imagine what their Creator is like. He’s the One who spoke and they came into existence, He’s the One who upholds them by the word of His power.

Hebrews 1:3 NLT The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command… How wonderful that when we look at Jesus we see God revealed in human form!

Can you imagine what went through the three disciples’ minds as they stood and witnessed Jesus’ transfiguration right in front of them? The stars couldn’t begin to compare! They saw the raw glory of God shining in and through Jesus and it must have marked them forever.

Next time we gaze in wonder at the beauty of the night sky let’s remember it’s nothing compared to the true glory of our God and one day we shall see Him face to face. Not only that but scripture says we shall one day be like Him and that He is already changing us from one degree of glory to another. Oh the wonder of it!😊

1 John 3:2 NLT Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.
