1 Timothy 2:6 NLT He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone.
I read these words the other day. “Think truth. Speak life. Walk free” and I realised I need to stop and ask myself some questions. Maybe you do too?😊What thoughts are we allowing to play over and over in our heads? What are we saying as we go about the day? Are we wanting to walk free, and willing to make the changes we might need to make, in order to do it? Jesus has already bought our freedom and the good news is, He shows us how to walk in it.😊
Romans 12:2 NLT Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
The Lord is asking us to see where our attitude is taking us, and the way we process things that happen. Are we having an attitude of gratitude, or have we fallen for the enemy’s lies and we’re stuck in a groove of grumbling?
Our thoughts produce our words and what we say will govern the way our life goes. That’s why God tells us to renew our minds by reading His Word and listening to His Holy Spirit.
When we feel less than, God says “we’re fearfully and wonderfully made”. When we feel not good enough, He says “we’re God’s own child, being transformed from one degree of glory to another, chosen, appointed and anointed by Him to bear fruit”.
When we feel condemned we can declare ‘I am the righteousness of God in Christ, cleansed by the blood of Jesus.” When we’re weak we say, “God’s grace is more than enough for me and He is strengthening me right now.” Those thoughts transform our minds and cancel the negative thoughts that try to bring us down.😊
So as we go into our week, be encouraged to know that if we want to walk free from anything that has us bound, we can ask the Holy Spirit to help us let go of our wrong thoughts and think God’s thoughts instead.
Thank You Lord for Your Truth which transforms our thinking and speaking so we can walk free in Your perfect plan for our lives. In Jesus name. Amen.
