BEING CONVINCED

Romans 8:38 NLT And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow - not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.

Have you ever gone in a shop and the sales person showed you their product and did everything they could to convince you, you really needed one? If we were convinced then we probably bought it, if we were not, we didn’t!😊

Paul is writing to us all in these verses letting us know he’s utterly convinced that nothing can separate us from God’s love. And why is that so important? It’s because when tragedy strikes, or when prayers are taking a while to be answered, we’ve maybe asked that question, ‘Does God still love me?’

The Holy Spirit wants us to be totally convinced of God’s love for us because it’s the bedrock for our lives, no matter what comes. Jesus told us we would have tribulations, trials and frustrations in this life (John 16:33 AMPC) but then He goes on and says ‘but I have overcome the world’, and He did it because of the great love the Father has for us.

No matter how we feel, God loves us. No matter whether we’re aware of His presence or not, He is with us, He is Emmanuel. Even when we’re all messed up or we’ve failed in some way, He loves us because His love is from everlasting to everlasting.

It’s not a one day wonder, it’s an eternity wonder and it’s available to us to have right now as a free gift, because Jesus bought and paid for it to be given to us personally.

When life presses in on us, or things don’t go the way we wanted them to, we may forget how much God loves us, so why not sit and let Him minister His love to you afresh today and just soak in it, and allow it to flow over you and in you, and know the security, the peace and joy His love brings.😊

Romans 8:39 NLT No power in the sky above or in the earth below - indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
