A GIFT FOR GOD

1 Corinthians 6:20 AMP You were bought with a price [you were actually purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and made His own]. So then, honor and glorify God with your body.

When we want to buy someone a gift, the dilemma of what to buy them crops up. You may have to travel to another town to find what you’re looking for and then choose a colour they’d like, decide which one would please them most, etc.😊

If you wanted to buy a gift for God what would you give Him? Jesus had the answer. He travelled to earth especially to redeem mankind, to buy us back from Satan.  He came and bought you and me and then He gave us to His Father to be in His family to spend eternity with Him.

It’s mind boggling that Jesus would come and be crucified, made sin for us, separated from God Himself, so that He could buy us. Why would He do that? Because His Father loves us with an everlasting love and wanted us for His own! It’s astounding! 

Oh that we could grasp the enormity of what Jesus did for us, the vastness of His love, and what it really means to be bought by Jesus and to belong to God. We are His temple, made for His glory, able to communicate with the Divine through His Holy Spirit He has given each one of us.😊

Next time you go to find someone a present, just remember Jesus has bought you and given you as a gift to His Father and you are now so precious in His sight because of how much it cost Jesus to buy us - His very life blood. What a Saviour!
