DOING THE RIGHT THING

John 21:20-21 NIV Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved was following them… 21 When Peter saw him, he asked, “Lord, what about him?”

I’ve been thinking about eyes a lot lately and Jesus had something to say about them! I wonder, do you ever look around and see what others are doing, or what they’re not doing? Jesus told us when we’re tempted to judge someone else, to stop it and get the log out of our own eye first!😊

When Peter asked Jesus “What about John?” Jesus told him to basically mind his own business and concentrate on the job Jesus had for Peter to do. God wants us to concentrate on running our own race with excellence and do all we can with the ability He has given us.

It may not be spectacular, or earth shifting, but it will be of importance in God’s kingdom in realms we don’t see. I heard of one old lady who challenged a man with the gospel and as a result he was saved and won millions of others to Christ and among those who were subsequently saved down through the next decades, was a man who led Billy Graham to Christ. Through that one lady speaking to one man, back in the 1800’s, they reckon millions of souls have since been saved!

So don’t let’s allow the enemy to discourage us in anything we do for God and for His kingdom regardless of what anyone else is doing. We’re all here for Jesus, for His glory, for His will to be done and not our own.

And if we do have any logs in our eyes, and I’m looking at myself, let’s ask the Lord to help us get rid of them.😊

In fact, wherever we’re at, at the moment, let’s praise God He’s leading us in paths of righteousness, and by His grace we will run our own race and win the victor’s crown. In Jesus name. Amen.
