As I was thinking on that I realised afresh that our God does not make mistakes which is so reassuring. We all make mistakes from time to time including doctors and politicians, but not God!π
When God made you and me He didn’t make a mistake. When He chose you and called you He didn’t make a mistake. When Jesus died for us all He didn’t make a mistake either because He was looking forward to the joy set before Him. He saw the end result of His suffering which would be for each one of us who have chosen to put our trust in Him to be forgiven and brought into God’s family. Thank God!
God thought each one of us was worth dying for, and though we may make some mistakes His grace is so powerful that it’s strong enough to turn them around for our good when we love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28). What a wonderful God is our God!
Jesus dying on the Cross probably looked like a mistake to those watching and the enemy thought he’d destroyed Him but scripture tells us not to go by what things look like! The end result was a glorious victory for our God and even though we may be tempted to look at some things in our lives and think God has maybe made a mistake, take heart because God knows the end from the beginning and He has a glorious victory for us on its way.π
So as we go into our new week let’s keep our eyes on Jesus, no matter what is going on, or not going on in our lives at the moment. Be encouraged to know God’s ways and thoughts are not like ours but they’re far higher, far reaching, and they are totally motivated by His love for us and He doesn’t make mistakes.π
Thank You Lord. Amen.
