CHANGE OUR LIVES

Romans 4:17 NKJV 17 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;

Have you ever had a downer on yourself? I can’t do this! I’ve put on weight, I’m not good in company, I keep saying the wrong thing, I’m shy, I’m tired all the time! We’re talking ourselves down and drawing all those negative things to us.

Instead God wants us to think and speak what He says about us. “I’m strong in the Lord, He is renewing my strength so I can overcome. I have God’s wisdom, I’m healthy and filled with God’s joy and peace.”

Now we may not feel any of those things at that moment, but scripture tells us to call those things which are not, as though they were.(Romans 4:17) It’s about talking faith because faith doesn’t go by what we can see, it goes by what is not seen yet. We actually call those things into being by our faith filled words.😊 Faith is the evidence of things we cannot see. (Hebrews 11:1)

We can change our circumstances, our lives, by the words we speak when they line up with God’s word. One church I know of regularly speak these words over themselves:

“I am Blessed, Prosperous, Redeemed, Forgiven, Healed, Talented, Creative, Confident, Secure, Disciplined, Focused, Prepared, Qualified, Motivated, Valuable, Free, Determined, Equipped, Empowered, Anointed, Accepted, Approved, Not Average, Not mediocre. I am a child of the Most High God.
I will become all He’s created me to be. In Jesus Name.”

We may not feel like half of those things, and so often we want to call things like they are and say they’ll never change, but if we choose to do it God’s way we will speak His words out our mouths regardless of what we see in front of us or what we feel. 

What we keep hearing ourselves consistently say goes down into our spirit and changes us. It’s amazing how just speaking even a few of those words out loud over ourselves throughout the day lifts our spirits. I tried it! Let’s pin them up and keep speaking them so the enemy can’t feed us anything else!😊

When we do, we’re giving God the opening to change us from one degree of glory to another. I think we’d all like that, don’t you? Amen.😊
