WHEN GOD MULTITASKS

1 Peter 5:7 AMP casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].

I read this Snoopy quote yesterday and it made me smile: “I’m multitasking. I can listen, ignore and forget all at the same time.” I wonder if any of us do that, whether intentionally, or not!?😊

Thankfully, God is not like that because when God multitasks He always listens, He never ignores us and He never forgets what we’ve been saying. God cares about us more than anything we can imagine and His love never ends so when we go to His throne room we know He’s always available and ready to give us mercy and help, no matter what the circumstance, or how alone we may feel.

There are times we can be afraid to confide in someone because we think they’ll judge us or dismiss our concerns as silly or trivial, or too big to handle, but God already knows us inside out so nothing we tell Him will come as a surprise. God already knew what He was getting when He called and chose us, so we can trust Him to understand where we’re coming from.😊

Psalm 139 reminds us God knows what we’re going to say before we say it and He knows when we sit down or rise up, so no matter what we’ve done, or should have done, or how bad it was, or whatever worries us, God already knows before we tell Him, and He’s just waiting for us to admit it and let Him forgive us and put it right.

No wonder we can draw near to God when we know He’s like that towards us, that He’s not condemning us but His heart is to care for us and the things that trouble us. His heart is to lift us up and let us know that nothing can stop Him loving us. What a wonderful blessing that is!

Psalm 34:17 NLT The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.

So next time we need someone to listen to us, who won’t ignore us, but who really cares about everything that’s going on in our lives, let’s go to Jesus, our wonderful High Priest who sympathises with our weaknesses and has done something about them, and leave all those cares with Him, knowing He won’t condemn us, or forget us or any one of our concerns.😊 (Hebrews 4:15-16)
