AS LONG AS I LIVE

Psalm 104:33-35 NLT
33 I will sing to the Lord as long as I live.
I will praise my God to my last breath!
34 May all my thoughts be pleasing to him,
for I rejoice in the Lord.
35 Let all sinners vanish from the face of the earth;
let the wicked disappear forever.
Let all that I am praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!

Praise God we’re still breathing … that’s all of us or we wouldn’t be reading these words
! Yesterday we looked at what we can still do if we’re still breathing and the Psalmist says a similar thing today in these verses.

He’s so thrilled with God he just wants to praise Him all the time, even to his last breath. God wants us to finish well and this is how we want to do it when our time comes - with the praises of God on our lips. But until then, we have the opportunity to praise Him now, in our present circumstances.😊

We’re encouraged to think thoughts that will please God and some of those thoughts will be to rejoice in the Lord. To rejoice in who He is and all He has done for us, for His promises which are yes and amen in Christ Jesus, for the gift of His Holy Spirit to counsel, comfort and guide us each day. We can praise Him for the authority He has delegated to us over all the works of the enemy and the sheer joy of our salvation, of belonging to God, of being one of His beloved children.

It truly is His breath in our lungs so let’s lift our voices and sing to the Lord today and rejoice in Him knowing we are His beloved, the child whom Jesus loves. In Jesus name. Amen.
