DO IT NOW

I wonder if you are a do it now person or an indecisive, can’t make your mind up person? When decisions are life changing it’s not easy to bite the bullet and just do it, but there are times when enough is enough and the Holy Spirit is saying, “Do it now. You’ve put it off long enough!”

Sometimes it can feel like we’ve gone round the same mountain so many times! The Israelites had done the same thing and Moses told them the Lord was saying it was time to move forward. They’d gone round in circles long enough!

If they hadn’t obeyed they’d still be going round the same mountain and never have reached the promised land! So this is a word for us all today, if the Lord is telling us to do something, let’s step out in faith and just get on with it!😊 

That doesn’t mean God wants us to pursue something that just seems like a ‘good’ idea, but if  we’ve heard from the Holy Spirit then it’s a ‘God’ idea and it will prosper. His promise to lead and guide us is still working, so if we take one step He will not only show us the next one when we need it, but He will help us do it.

It may be something small like eating less chocolate biscuits😊, or taking more exercise, or asking for help, or changing our jobs, or moving house! 

But whatever it is, let’s be sensitive to our inner voice and give the Holy Spirit room to speak to our hearts and if He says do it now, then let’s do it now!😊 Amen.
