Well Jesus had been safely delivered but now Mary and Joseph had a baby to feed, nappies to wash and they needed to find somewhere more comfortable to live. Mary didn’t exactly have the comfort of a thick mattress to lie on to recover from the birth!😊
Life had to go on and it’s the same for us all - life goes on, but the big and wonderful difference now, is that Jesus is in the middle of it all, and His presence changes everything - just like He did for Mary and Joseph.
As Mary held Jesus hand in hers, now He holds each one of us in His powerful hand and He has promised to guide us along the best pathway for each day.
As we continue with family get togethers and then look forward to things returning to normal, may our normal be filled with the awareness and closeness of God in each of our lives. He is our ever present Helper and Counsellor, our Advocate, our Intercessor, our Healer, our Provider and Protector.
Whatever we need Jesus to be, He is the ‘I Am’, in other words, He is whoever we will need Him to be in the days to come. He fulfils our every need, He is our Strong Tower and Refuge when the storms hit. He is our Comforter and our Joy Giver.😊
I’m so thankful Jesus came, aren’t you? He has dealt with our past, He is guiding us through our present, and He has given us a future with Him in glory. What a wonderful Saviour we have each and every day.
Thank You Lord for coming. Amen.

Looking at that baby's hand in the adult hand reminded me of how a baby is dependent on the adult for everything. And we should be the same - give ourselves over to Him and trust Him for everything we need. We are so small and He is so mighty!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that and to this morning's blog, bless you Jackie for continuing to listen to the Lord for His Word He wants us to hear and act on through you 🙏😉x
