GOD OF GREAT WONDERS

 Psalm 77:11-14 NLT
But then I recall all you have done, O Lord;
I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago.
They are constantly in my thoughts.
I cannot stop thinking about your mighty works.
O God, your ways are holy.
Is there any god as mighty as you?
You are the God of great wonders!
You demonstrate your awesome power
among the nations.

Then I recall…. I wonder what we’re recalling, what we’re thinking about throughout our day? The Psalmist was very wise he chose to recall all that the Lord had done, both in his own life but also throughout history.

He goes on to say God’s deeds are constantly in his thoughts. What is constantly in our thoughts? If we’re thinking about negative things, what we, or others have one wrong, or something that has happened, may we change it to remembering all God has done for us. Most importantly what Jesus has done for us.😊

We probably all have times when we can’t stop thinking about something! Well, God has given us the ability to choose what we think about, and the Holy Spirit is encouraging us here to constantly choose to think about God’s mighty works instead.

When we dwell on the thought that there is no one holier or mightier than our God and remind ourselves He is the God who doesn’t change, then we’ll remember He is the God who still performs wonders, even in our lives, that nothing is impossible with Him.😊

So let me encourage us all to recall all God has done for us today and give Him all the glory and praise as we worship Him. In Jesus’ wonderful and powerful name. Amen.

MESSAGE FROM A TEAPOT SHEEP!

Psalm 103: 1-2 NKJV Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:

Well it’s not every day you’re given a teapot with a woolly ‘sheep’ tea cosy  for Christmas! He did make me chuckle so I thought I’d share him with you to make you smile too, just in case you need cheering up.😊

We do have a lot to smile about, even on our down days, but sometimes we forget and it’s because we’ve stopped remembering all God’s benefits, so this sheep is staring at you to remind you of verses 3-5!😊

The Lord forgives all our sins.
He heals all our diseases.
He redeems us from death.
He crowns us with loving kindness and tender mercies.
He fills our lives with good things.
He renews our youth like the eagle’s.

We have received the forgiveness of our sins by faith, but don’t let’s forget to receive all God’s other wonderful benefits by faith too. I wonder if we’re tempted to think they’re for someone else but not all for us? God says they are, right now, not in the sweet bye and bye! Remember we walk by faith and not by sight and it pleases God when we use our faith to take all He gives us.😊

Jesus is our good Shepherd who provides for us all, and we’re part of His flock, the sheep of His pasture (Psalm 100:3). David (who knew about sheep) says to never forget the good things God does for us. Why? So we can enjoy them all!

So will you join with me as I pour my tea from my sheep teapot and receive all God’s benefits being poured out into our lives as this coming year unfolds, and with all our hearts thank the Lord for each and every one of them.

Have a blessed weekend and I hope my teapot has put a smile on your face too.😊
